Anna Steer joined the Centre for Market Design in 2016 and is responsible for business management, finance, communications and events.
Since starting at the University of Melbourne in 2008, as the LH Martin Institute’s Program and Events Manager and then the Executive Manager, she played a key role in this Institute’s growth during its first six years of operation. She then led the professional staff team at the newly integrated Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education and was responsible for its financial, human resource, legal and project management, and the delivery of a suite of programs.
Prior to this, Anna coordinated a wide range of training and policy programs and events throughout Australia and internationally for government and private sector senior executives and CEOs, and medical registrars, in organisations including the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG), Monash University and DBM Consultants.
She is currently a member of the Association for Tertiary Education Managers’ Bass Regional Committee, and in recent years has also been a member of the Australian Red Cross National Donor Advisory Committee (2014-2016), and the University of Melbourne’s Professional Staff Conference Organising Committee (2014 and 2015).
Anna graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Management) from Monash University in 2003.
