Our executive education program (otherwise known as the Specialist Certificate in Economic Design) aims to build awareness of market and economic design in the public sector.
The Specialist Certificate was first taught in Victoria in May 2016, and again in Canberra in June 2016. The course will be taught again in 2017, dates and locations will be confirmed by end of February 2017.
The course brings policy makers up-to-date with recent developments in microeconomics. It provides public servants with a conceptual framework for analysing policies and evaluating their effect, with emphasis on the resource and information constraints that policy makers and market designers face.
Taught by a team of microeconomics scholars from leading Australian universities, participants will be introduced to the latest research in economic design through lectures, hands-on applications, discussion groups and individual reading.
