About the Course
The Specialist Certificate in Economic Design aims to build awareness of market and economic design in the public sector.
Taught by a team of microeconomics scholars from leading Australian universities, the course provides relevant economic knowledge and frameworks to assist you create innovative solutions to market design challenges.
The Specialist Certificate in Economic Design explores economic design principles and mechanisms, current microeconomic developments and methods for more efficient diagnosis and resolution of policy and resource allocation problems.
Accreditted by The University of Melbourne, the 25 credit points earned from the Specialist Certificate can be used as a pathway into postgraduate programs offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics, including Master of Economics.
In 2017 the course will be taught in Canberra and Melbourne for four weeks, two days per week.
Canberra streams will run from June 7-29 and June 8-30.
Melbourne streams will run from July 3-27 and July 4-28.
Eight topics are covered in the course and each has a participatory, experimental and written assessment component.
